I have managed to get a different, PPSSPP, core to work and it runs. That being said, I keep crashing when playing Final Fantasy 8 on my nvidia shield. Also it will reset any memory card data back to the previous save. I have tried every video driver available in the settings and they all crash. This is a random issues and occurs once out of every 7 or 8 savestates. I have all the necessary files correctly setup as the core is getting recognised in retroarch and the standalone PCSX2 program works with the same files. Maybe theres another version that also works, but i can confirm that this one worked fine to me, played RE2 and SOTN without any problem. I'm trying to run the PCSX2 core in retroarch. Now, I have read something about the "BIOS" files, and insert them for more compatibility, I have seen that there are several types.ġ) Do I have to manually add all the BIOS files for pcsx reamerd?Ģ) If so, should I add ALL the ".bins" or just some?ģ) In which directory should I add the ".bin" files exactly?Ĥ) Should I rename the BIOS ".bin" files to uppercase and lowercase or does it make a difference? Just replace the updated PCSX ReARMed core ('pcsxrearmedlibretrolibnx.nro') with the one found in 'RetroArch.7z'. Unfortunately Dolphin doesn’t seem to run most GC games fast enough for my liking.

You can load dolphin in stream and play from your PC via game stream.
I installed both Sony - Playstation (PCSX ReARMed) and Sony - Playstation (Beetle PSX) cores but when I tried to run my PSX ROMs (.iso format), RetroArch just does NOT show playable cores for me to click on. I understand the PAL games that run at 50Hz perform better but at that point I'd prefer to just emulate them on my PC instead.

I am quite familiar with retroarch, I am aware of having to download the "pcsx rearmed" core and then import my psx roms, and then everything is ok. I installed RetroArch directly from Play Store to my Shield TV Pro 2019 (Android TV 9).
I already have retroarch installed, I use it mainly with core snes but as explained in the title I would like to emulate psx games.
